NTIA and RUS will grant a limited extension of time to file infrastructure applications in the second funding round. Specifically, applicants for BTOP Comprehensive Community Infrastructure projects will have until 5 p.m. EDT, March 26th to file their applications to NTIA. Applicants for BIP Infrastructure projects will have until 5 p.m. EDT, March 29th to file their applications to RUS. Applications in NTIA's two other project categories - Public Computer Centers and Sustainable Broadband Adoption - remain due at 5 p.m. EDT, March 15th.

Funding Opportunity Number (FON): RDRUS-09-01-CC Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA): 10.863
CFDA and FON are not really necessary if you will be mailing your applications. However, if you choose to submit your applications electronically, you will need one of the above numbers in order to search for our grant on the grants.gov website.
NTIA issues Buy American waiver.
The National Telecommunications and Information Administration
(NTIA) hereby provides notice that on June 19, 2009, the Secretary of Commerce granted
a limited waiver of section 1605 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of
2009 (Recovery Act), Pub. L. No. 111-5, 123 Stat. 115, 303 (2009) with respect to certain
broadband equipment that will be used in projects funded under the Broadband
Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).
