Since 2001, The e-NC Authority, and previously the Rural Internet Access Authority, has awarded $27,355,908 in grants primarily to incent the deployment of high-speed Internet, to create applications that would encourage the use of the Internet, to provide digital literacy training and public access sites, and to establish and support Business & Technology Telecenters.
