Public, Educational and Government (PEG) Channels Funding

Dear PEG Channels Partners,
The e-NC Authority received $1 million in the 2007 legislative session to be used to fund the PEG Channel Fund – which provides funding for the PEG Channel Capital Expenditure Grants Program.
The e-NC Authority released the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the second round of funding for this grant program on February 27, 2008.

Many of the basic procedures for this grant program are outlined in G.S. 66-359 (which is found within Session Law 2006-151 (House Bill 2047) .
The legislation dictates the following criteria for the grant program:
Counties or cities may apply to the e-NC Authority for a Capital Expenditure grant.
Grants may not exceed $25,000.
The applicant must match the grant on a dollar-for-dollar basis (cash match).
The grant may be used only for capital expenditures necessary to provide PEG channel programming.
An applicant may receive no more than one grant per fiscal year.
The e-NC Authority must, to the extent possible, select applicants from all parts of the State based on need.
